Kata keterangan waktu dan tempat dalam direct speech biasanya tidak berubah dalam reported speech.

Kata Keterangan Cara
Kata keterangan cara dalam direct speech biasanya berubah menjadi bentuk past participle dalam reported speech.

Kalimat Tanya
Kalimat tanya dalam direct speech biasanya diubah menjadi kalimat berita dalam reported speech.
Contoh:

Kalimat perintah dalam direct speech biasanya diubah menjadi kalimat saran atau permintaan dalam reported speech.
